15TH DAY: I PETER 1:3-10

15th Day: I Peter 1:3-10

I Peter 1:3-10: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,  who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.  Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,  for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care

I Peter 1:13-16:  Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.  But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;  for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Motivation: You need to go through tests, to be ready for heaven. Difficulties do not demonstrate the absence of God; they are the way to make you valuable. Without difficulty great men of God would stand! It is easier to serve God without proof, but and in difficult times? Your faithfulness to grow them.

PRAY THIS PRAYER:

Father in the name of JESUS, I ask: give me easy to understand Your Word and be saved. Do not want to live as before, in the pleasures of the flesh; because today I learned that I seek your presence.
